Vitamins as science defined are essential nutrients that the body needs in order to perform and develop properly. For me i ll define vitamins as the tiny little shimmers you need to give you the "glow". Glowing for me is feeling healthy and looking healthy with a radiantly beautiful skin. Vitamins are abundantly present in a lot of food and drinks we consume. Fruits and vegetables are major sources of all kind of vitamins such as; oranges, pineapples, cucumber, etc. Fruits and vegetables are also rich in antioxidants which are very very beneficial to having a radiant skin. I will hint more on antioxidants and thier benefits in my next post.:) fingerscrossed.
However, lots of vitamins have been shown to be very helpful when taken by oral means or by applying them topically on the skin. Vitamins such as vitamins A,B,C,E, and K.Vitamins aid the production of collagen which is responsible for a youthful and radiant look.;). One of the first steps to actually having a wonderful skin is keeping your skin hydrated by drinking lots of water. Yes! You hear that everyday but the question is "have you taken your time to try it out?". It does not just hydrate your skin but aids your entire system to function properly such as; good blood circulation and proper digestion process. Secondly i'd say avoid the sun as much as possible. Sun blocking and drinking of plenty water are two important steps to having a good skin.
I am going to be sharing with you a perfect skin freshening :D milk/cucumber/lemon or lime juice recipe. This recipe is very reach in vitamins and antioxidants which you need for your extra complexion glow. And also getting rid of dark circles around your eyes.
CUCUMBER.
Cucumber is very acient. It is widely known as a home remedy for eye circles and bags. This is due to the instant cooling effect it provides. It also works as an astringent and tend to lighten dark patches on the skin. Cucumbers are very safe cause it has been proven that they have the same pH as the human skin. Its ability to increase blood flow is why it is used for eye bag and puffiness treatment.
MILK.
Milk is very delicious. I love milk not just for its taste but because i can use it for beauty therapy.:). Cleopatra an ancient queen of Egypt "bathed" herself in milk. This simply indicates that milk is also an acient ingredient in beauty therapy.hehehhe. The lactic acid in milk reduces the pigmentation of the skin and tones your over all skin complexion. Milk works wonders on spots and dark patches.
LEMON/LIME JUICE.
Lemon/lime juice is a very good exfoliating agent and brightens the skin colour without irritation or burn when used with precautions.lime juice is very rich in antioxidants which are essential for the skin.
INGREDIENTS:
*Two spoons of butter milk or which ever is available to you.

RECIPE:
1. Grate the cucumber or you can blend it until you have a consistent and smooth paste that will stay on your face without running.lol.
2. Add the milk and then squeeze in your lemon/lime juice. Mix properly to have a good homogeneous pulp.
3. Spread the paste gently and equally with your finger tips on your face and neck.
4. Now lie down, relax and leave the mask for 10 - 15 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water and a clean towel. Finally you can apply your very good moituriser, this way you seal your skin to keep the water inside.
